Top Travel and Local Apps on Android in the Middle East: Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the Middle East saw significant activity in the travel and local app sector on the Android platform. Here's a look at the top performers, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Nusuk | نسك, published by the Ministry of Hajj and Umra in Saudi Arabia, experienced a notable surge in weekly downloads. Starting at approximately 72.5K at the end of December 2024, downloads peaked at 213K in early March. Active users followed a similar trend, climbing from 632K to over 1.2M by late March.

Baly | Order Taxi and Food from Iraq's Two Rivers maintained modest download numbers, fluctuating around 200-300 weekly. Active users showed a stable pattern, starting at 3.3K and ending the quarter slightly lower at 2.6K.

Instabridge: WiFi Hotspot Map by Instabridge Sweden AB saw a steady increase in both downloads and revenue. Weekly downloads rose from 17.1K to 18.5K, while revenue peaked at $172 in early February. Active users grew consistently, reaching 145K by the end of March.
